In John 4, Jesus and his disciples go to a community that is disconnected from the religious culture of the day. At a well, a woman who is socially disconnected from her community encounters Jesus. By accepting the woman as she is, and speaking truth into her life, Jesus provides the context for the woman to discover who He is.
Empowered by the meeting, the woman shares her experience with her community and many are influenced to explore her claim. After spending two days with Jesus, many come to life-changing faith, no longer because of the woman’s testimony, but by first-hand experience with “the Savior of the world.”
It’s from this passage we get the name for our church: the WELL . We desire to provide the context for connecting with God and connecting with the community. As a church we will: explore Bible Truth, encounter the living God through relevant worship, experience authentic life-changing relationships, empower believers in discipleship, and engage the community through evangelistic outreach and service.
