The Silvas Family

Andy Hughes and Family
Andy was born in April 1975. He was raised in a pastor’s home but did not receive Christ until the age of 22 while serving the Navy in Coronado, Ca. Soon after, the Holy Spirit began to convince Andy of His call into pastoral ministry. After leaving the Navy with an honorable discharge, he began his preparation for Gospel ministry. He completed his B.A. in Biblical Studies with a minor in the History of Ideas from the College at Southeastern in Wake Forest, NC. He further studied at the Reformed Theological Seminary.
Andy met his wife Tonya while preparing for Pastoral ministry. They have been married for seven years. God has blessed them with a 4 year old girl Charis and a 2 year old boy named Owen. In August of 2008, God called and released the Hughes family to serve Him in Boone, NC. In December of 2008 they started with 2 people in their living room and has watched God transform people with the Gospel. They ask that you pray that God will continue to use them to see the Gospel change individuals, families and the High Country community in Boone, NC.
- The Journey – Atlanta, GA – The WELL also sponsors The Journey in Atlanta, GA. Please pray for pastor Jason Martin and his family.

Jason Martin and Family
Pastor Jason Martin has been in pastoral ministry for over 14 years with the last 7 years spent moving a traditional church toward replanting with a radical new vision and mission for this dying congregation. The Journey was born towards the end of 07’ and actually launched in September of 08’. In its first year, the Journey is successfully reaching unchurched and de-churched people on the west side of Atlanta. At the time of replant, the launch team was at 25 persons, and after one year of public services, there are almost 100 people committed to the mission of the Journey. Jason and Tera have been married for 14 years and have five children ranging from 11 to 5 months old. As lead pastor of the Journey, Jason was assessed and approved to plant by the Acts 29 network in September of 2007 and he looks forward to the day when the Journey is planting churches in the surrounding areas.
