Moving Day at the WELL

The New Testament describes gospel community and fellowship (“koinonia”) as ongoing partnership and participation. This implies ownership to the mission, investment in other believers, and stewardship: the shared responsibility in caring for the resources used to serve God’s people.

In the WELL’s recent move from 716 Broad St. to our new location of 1285 Broad Street, gospel community was exhibited on these levels. Hearing the inclusive conversation of folks talking about “our church” and “we” this or that, ownership to the mission was displayed. Seeing hands hard at work to physically prepare, relocate, and set-up the WELL’s new home is a display of ownership in the resources we’ve been given to steward. Of course, the great conversation over pizza and beverages also displayed the community that God is shaping and forming at the WELL.

As the mission continues, may this next season in the life of the WELL be characterized by great momentum in the movement of the gospel in our church and city. Thank you all for your hard work and your ongoing stewardship, investment, and ownership to the gospel community so that God gets the glory, we get the joy, and the city gets the benefit.
